Al Lamb's Dallas Honda: 2014 Honda CBR500R

GENERAL INFORMATION

Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda --- The CBR500R is built with bodywork inspired by CBR600RR and CBR1000RR, and will let the competition know that you are riding one of the most awarded family of bikes out there. The sportbike motorcycle’s lightweight 471cc engine delivers smooth power just the right way, thanks to its Programmed Fuel Injection, while its sport-tuned chassis with steel tube frame and Honda’s unique Pro-Link suspension let you nail the turn every time, on the dime. The CBR500R is truly the perfect bike to advance a displacement class or for anyone with a need for that 500 class do-it-all machine.

While the CBR500R is a middleweight supersport motorcycle, it’s anything but middle of the road. The proof is in the powerplant with as much development behind it as Honda’s parallel twins. Liquid-cooling, double overhead cams and plenty of torque make the CBR500R powerplant the perfect machine for any kind of ride you have in mind. Famous for its versatility, the DOHC twin-cylinder engine uses the same piston bore size as the CBR600RR sportbike and offers accessible performance across all RPM ranges. Wrapping around the engine, the street motorcycle’s steel-tube frame is the basis for its smooth handling and provides a solid foundation for an enjoyable ride and stable handling.

Designed for all-day comfort, the CBR500R offers an ergonomic sport seating position that’s canted forward just enough to give riders control over the supersport motorcycle. Aerodynamic bodywork provides significant advantages in air management for added rider comfort, along with a low drag coefficient and effective cooling. Add to that lower handlebars, lower footpegs and wind protection from the fairing, and you’ll see why the CBR500R is a great choice for riders who likes the lithe, athletic touches of a sportbike motorcycle but want something more versatile than a race replica.
